There are many angry people over the Cyprus Title Deed legislation being delayed. The Government has made a lot of promises to the public and had failed to follow through on these.

It has been reported that the delay is due to lack of information not being given to the relevant officials, and therefore these officials have no recollection of them.

However, the Minister believes that all details were discussed and agreed up on and therefore were ready to go to the House of Parliament to be passed.

This discrepancy is very frustrating to the public and the delay will carry on until at least October after the summer holiday has finished, before discussions will open again on the issue.

Some details within the bills are being totally rejected by certain parties and even when talks do continue in October it appears it will still not be smooth sailing.

Some views seem to be that the bills do not help purchasers who have already brought property and are having trouble claiming their Title Deeds due to the developer mortgaging the land, even after the launch of the contracts to the Land Registration office.

The Title Deed Reform was devised to help with the country’s high deficit in mind, so not only are many people still stuck without a Title Deed solution, the state deficit will also suffer until progress is made.

Now if some of the bills are being rejected and discussions and amendments need to place further, this could mean a very long wait and 2010 may not be the year to celebrate the Title Deed reform.

Our office after extensive hard work trying to get the Title Deed Reform moving, has written to the Minister asking for the legislation to be passed as the public are very angry over this issue.

We urge all citizens to write to their local MPS stating their views and ask for them to hasten up this frustrating issue.  We believe that we should do something about this! The Minister states that the parties have delayed the bills, so let’s ask our local MPs about this?

There are mixed reports about today’s Cyprus Property Market.

The banks appear to believe that interest in the Cyprus Property Market is still very low.  House prices are falling, which is believed to be due to lack of demand for Cyprus property.  And of course the banks view this as a very big risk to them and further decreases could cause major problems.

However, the banks themselves are causing a very big problem as they are not budging on their interest rates.  While other European countries are dropping their interest rates to help their property markets, Cyprus interest rates are still at an all time high.

This issue must be addressed with the government , the Central Bank of Cyprus and the EU Central Bank before our property market comes to a complete halt.

If overseas investors, who still hold a high percentage of property sales in Cyprus, become aware of other EU states offering a much lower interest rate, we can sadly but surely kiss goodbye to the overseas investor and say hello to a long cold road to economic recovery.

Yet on the contrary, the government reports that contracts deposited at the land registry have increased by up to 25% on last years sales.  And around 22% of these contracts are from overseas investors. Famagusta, Limassol and Nicosia are seeing major increases in sales with Larnaca and Paphos steadily trailing behind.

It is very hard to say for sure the overall outcome will be for Cyprus.  Practicing as Property lawyers in the Paralimni area of Cyprus, we can honestly say we have definitely seen a major rise in business compared to last year. Our office is in fact opening another office in Larnaca to deal with the extra workload. So from that point of view we believe Cyprus is definitely on the mend.

We also believe this is due to a lot of development taking place in Cyprus and more and more people are becoming aware of this.

The banks must address the interest rate and mortgage facilities issue, so not to spoil it for the rest of Cyprus and to help the economy.

On a whole, we know some issues need to be addressed and corrected but we are happy with the economic progression. We really believe Cyprus is on the up and up.

АДВОКАТЫ КИПРА ПО НЕДВИЖИМОСТИ  – ОБЗОР ТОВАРОВ, ПРЕДЛАГАЕМЫХ ОБЩЕПИТОМ . Август 19, 2010.

Сезон отпусков  в самом разгаре. Кафе, парки, рестораны, кинотеатры забиты народом, который отдыхает, тратит деньги – кушает и пьет. Это, конечно, хорошо, но вопрос в другом:  что именно народ кушает и пьет?

На данный момент остро стоит проблема нездорового питания. Практически отсутствуют продукты, выращенные без химических удобрений. На прилавках появилось множество продуктов, ранее не существовавших: сладкая газировка, чипсы, снеки, продукты быстрого приготовления  – сладкое, жирное, рафинированное, с улучшенным вкусом, усиленным ароматом, консервантами и красителями. Сейчас на Земле 50% людей с избыточным весом, а половина из них страдает ожирением.

В связи со всем этим началась гонка за всем, на чем написано «обезжиренное» или « с низким содержанием жира». Но практически все попадаются на этих надписях. Очень актуальны сейчас кафетерии и места, продающие свежевыжатые соки, которые заявляют что все супер натурально и полезно, а также на 99% свободно от жира.

Давайте разберемся… Свободен от жира продукт, еще не означает полезен! В местах, продающих соки, добавляется сахар, который, как известно – белая смерть! Другие говорят, что в напитке нет жира, а сладкий он потому, что в него добавлен щербет (сорбет), в состав которого не входит молоко. Молоко-то не входит, а вот то, что там огромное количество сахара – никто не упоминает. Также продаются всякие напитки с дробленым льдом – очень популярно в жаркое время года. Это опять тот же сахарный сироп с красителями и дробленым льдом.

Пожалуйста, будьте внимательными, когда пишут, что жир отсутствует! Спросите есть ли сахар и если вам ответят, что нет или совсем немного, а напиток достаточно сладкий – вам солгали. А если вместо сахара добавляют подсластители – это еще хуже, поскольку это дополнительные химикаты, которые накопляются в организме в виде токсинов. Лучший выбор – вода или свежевыжатый сок, который будут выжимать в вашем присутствии, и вы сможете убедиться, что в него ничего типа сиропов, порошков или сахара не было добавлено.

Юристы Кипра – Обзор Подготовки Кипра К Председательству В ЕС. Август 19,2010 – Адвокаты Кипра

На днях Кипр начал активную подготовку к председательству в ЕС во второй половине 2012 года. Создан официальный информационный интернет сайт http://www.cy2012eu.gov.cy на четырех языках. Также была создана страница, в Facebook для тех, кто поддерживает президентство Кипра в ЕС.

Стало известно,  что председательство в Европейском Союзе обойдется стране в 62 миллиона евро, в то время как бюджет других стран стартовал с 80-100 миллионов евро.

Был создан план, по которому на протяжении 18 месяцев 3 страны-члена будут председательствовать по очереди, каждая по 6 месяцев. Кипр будет третьим после Польши и Дании.

Председательство будет начинаться с точки, где закончилось предыдущее, давая возможность полностью выполнить запланированную полуторагодичную программу.

Все три страны-члена должны представить свой индивидуальный вклад в программу к сентябрю 2012.

Доктор Андреас Молсекис, руководитель Кипрского секретариата в ЕС выразил свое удовлетворение по поводу прогресса, сделанного в сторону завершения вклада Кипра в Общую Программу, а также он заявил, что все, что требуется от Кипра,  будет готово вовремя.

Встречи на высоком уровне Президиума Трио-координаторов, Генерального Секретариата и Европейской комиссии запланированы на апрель 2011 года с тем, чтобы обсудить возможные неразрешенные вопросы и согласовать окончательный план программы.
